The next MosaicGlobe Creativity Competition officially begins today. Check out the prospectus page for details on categories and deadlines. This will be our third and final competition for 2008! We're looking forward to seeing everyone's submissions.

Although today is April Fools Day, this is no hoax. We have posted the recipients of our Fifth MosaicGlobe Creativity Competition. This set of creative powerhouses are absolutely amazing. Just a reminder that this Monday (March 17th) is the deadline for submitting your site to the Creativity Competition. So if you haven't done so yet click here to add your site. Also worth noting, the inbox was swamped with submissions this last week and the form went belly-up for a while yesterday : ( Thanks to everyone who let us know it was down. As of this a.m. the form is back up and ready to accept your submission! 

We all know expressing our creativity is good for our emotional well being. But according to a new study it would seem to be good for our health as well. According to a recent report from the University of Texas at Austin, individuals who infuse creativity into their work achieve health benefits equal to reversing their biological clocks by nearly seven years. Happy New Year! We've posted the prospectus for the next MosaicGlobe Creativity Contest. This time around we are going to be accepting submissions on four categories; photography, visual design, traditional mediums and decorative/functional. A big thanks to everyone who entered the Creativity Competition. Each event gets more and more submissions! The judges will be working overtime to review all the entrants. Award recipients will be notified by NOVEMBER 23, 2007 (just after turkey day) and will be posted to the site on DECEMBER 03, 2007. We were late posting the results of the last Competition so this time around we're doing it early. The judging isn't getting any easier but we managed to widdle the hundreds of entrants into 16 - with 4 of those being deemed fantastic; that is, the judges believe they displayed the strongest portfolios in their respective categories. Legitimate email sent to Hotmail accounts from MosaicGlobe are being blocked with no warning or notification being sent to either the sender or the intended recipient. Microsoft's new Spam filtering methods have effected a number of reputable email providers and there seems to be little recourse for us other than to advise our users to avoid tying their MosaicGlobe acccounts to Hotmail. This year's first contest will be in the areas of Photography, Traditional Arts, Digital Arts and Functional Arts. As always, work will be judged on the creativity and overall artistic quality of the entire body of work presented on your MosaicGlobe website and there is no entry fee for the competition. There will be a cash award a free hosting for awarded sites. The submission deadline is August 01, 2007. Click here to view the details.

If you have ever donated or plan to donate art to a not for profit collection you may be surprised to learn that it's not tax deductible. There has been some confusion as to the deadline of the current MosaicGlobe competition. The automated reply stated the deadline as July 31st. The deadline is actually November 30th. Sorry about the miscommunication. Please refer to the call for entry for additional information.

We are proud to announce the recipients of our first ever Creativity Competition. The selected sites represent the broad range of creative individuals within our community. How search engines find and index your site doesn't have to be a mystery. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a mix of site coding and proper content. The content part is yours and there is a lot you can do to help get your site placed. Read this article in the tutorial section of the support site.

Thanks to everyone who has signed up for the Creativity Competition. The response has been amazing! This morning we decided to increase the competition awards. The monetary award will remain the same but the hosting will increase as follows:  Top Prizes for each category and "best of" increase to from 1 year of free hosting to just plain "Free". Honorable mention awards have been increased from 6 months to 1 Year of free hosting. *These are MosaicGlobe Basic accounts or current level if higher at time of award notification.

Also, we're going to try something new here. Upgrade to a paid account by June 30th and receive your first TWO months FREE. So if you've been considering more space, now may be the time.

We have updated the showcase page at MosaicGlobe.com to include some more recent sites developed by our beta testers. This section is meant to highlight some of the pages that have been created using the application. We have a lot more sites to go through so let us know if we missed a site you think should have been included.
